Dr. Pallavi Tiwari - Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Pallavi Tiwari is an assistant professor of Biomedical Engineering and the director of Brain Image Computing laboratory at Case Western Reserve University. She is also an associate member of the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Tiwari got her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2006, and her Masters in Biomedical Engineering in 2008. She finished her PhD from Rutgers University in 2012, and moved to Case Western Reserve in 2012. In 2016, she founded the Brain Image Computing lab at Case Western. Her research interests lie in pattern recognition, data mining, and image analysis for automated personalized medicine solutions using radiologic imaging in brain tumors. In 2015, She was named by Government of India as one of 100 women achievers for making a positive impact in the field of Science and Innovation. In 2018, she was selected as one of Crain’s Business Cleveland Forty under 40. Dr. Tiwari has been a recipient of many research related awards including Case-Coulter Translational award, Department of Defense Career Development Award, and Dana Foundation Neuroimaging Award, and is currently leading a team of researchers on multiple projects in prognosis and treatment evaluation in brain tumors."

Dr. Letícia Rittner - University of Campinas.

Dr. Letícia Rittner is an Assistant Professor at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil. She is also the Head of the Computer Engineering and Industrial Automation Department and the co-founder and currently Director of the Medical Image Computing lab (http://miclab.fee.unicamp.br/). Dr. Rittner holds a research fellowship from the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development and is an investigator of the Brazilian Institute of Neuroscience and Neurotechnology. She is a full member of the Brazilian Society of Biomedical Engineering and a senior member of the IEEE. Dr. Rittner received her BSc degree in electrical engineering in 1994 and earned an MBA in 1998, while working in the industry. Back to academia, she received MSc (2004) and PhD (2009) degrees from the University of Campinas. She held fellowships at the Montreal Neurological Institute, McGill University, and at the School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. Her research field is Medical Image Processing and Analysis, focused particularly on Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the brain. Dr. Rittner has received several paper awards, such as the best student paper award at the Biomedical Applications in Molecular, Structural and Functional Imaging Conference (SPIE Medical Imaging 2018), best paper awards at the 5th and 6th BRAINN Congress (2018 and 2019) and the IEEE Region 9 student paper contest (2007)."

Dr. Sean Deoni - Brown University.

Dr. Sean Deoni is an associate professor of pediatrics (Research) in Brown University. He received a BSc. In Medical Biophysics in 1999 from the University of Western Ontario. In 2004 he obtained his PhD in Medical Biophysics at University of Western Ontario. From 2014 to 2016 Dr. Deoni worked as Director of Pediatric Radiology Research at Children’s Hospital Colorado and was an Associate Professor of Radiology in the University of Colorado. Dr. Deoni is the director of MRI Research in the department of Pediatrics in Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island and an Adjunct Professor of Engineering in the School of Engineering of Brown University. Dr. Deoni’s research focuses on developing and applying magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques to study early brain development. His current studies involve following the process of myelination in healthy infants and toddlers in relationship to behavioural development and exploring the varied environmental and genetic influences that shape these brain-behaviour relationships."

MD. Viviana Arias - Universidad Nacional de Colombia.

MD. Viviana Arias is an associate Professor of the Pathology Department of Universidad Nacional de Colombia. M.D. Viviana Arias received her diploma as a Medical Doctor from Universidad Libre (Colombia) and as Specialist in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. She also got an International Certification in Dermatology in 2015. Currently, she is member of the Molecular pathology research group, linked to the Telemedicine Centre of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where she leads the research line on Digital Pathology."
