The conference will be held at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Instituto Tecnológico Metropolitano (ITM) in Medellín, Colombia.

Medellín is located in the northwestern of Colombia and situated at elevation 1500 meters above sea level. With an area of 380.64 square kilometers and a population of about 2.4 million inhabitants, it is the second largest city in Colombia. Medellín is know as "La Ciudad de la Eterna Primavera" or "City of the Eternal Spring".


Medellín has a tropical rainforest climate. The city's average annual temperature is 22°C(72°F), and because of its proximity to the equator, its temperature is constant year round, with minimal temperature variations.
