The Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation at Children’s National Health System has openings for research positions in pediatric precision and quantitative imaging. Located on the top floor of the pediatric specialty hospital, the Institute houses one of the most dynamic pediatric bioengineering research sites. We are based in the exciting capital city of Washington DC with endless options for culture, entertainment and great food.
Positions are available at the level of postdoctoral fellow and/or staff scientist based on the applicant’s experience. The candidates will work in a team that includes geneticists, radiologists, surgeons, computer scientists and biomedical engineers to conduct research and development on medical image analysis, pattern recognition and artificial intelligence. Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent research experience in the areas of computer vision and machine learning evidenced by peer reviewed publications. Other required qualifications are strong programming and good communication skills.
