This event is organized yearly by the SIPAIM society, in collaboration with local organizers. The International Society for the Processing and Analysis of Medical Information (SIPAIM) is a nonprofit scientific civil society with aims to promote and foster biomedical engineering research throughout Latin America, and to organize the SIPAIM conference annually.

SIPAIM is addressed to researchers, students and professionals in a wide range of disciplines including engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, biology and medicine. The symposium will include keynote lectures by recognized experts on issues related to acquisition, digitization, visualization, processing, analysis and interpretation of medical information. Contributions accepted by the symposium's program committee will be presented in oral or poster sessions.

SIPAIM will be a great opportunity for researchers and students to participate in a great international congress and congregate and exchange ideas with their fellows of all countries of Latin America and the world. We would like to welcome you all to Pasto, Colombia, this year.
